My training has been within the field of general surgery, with specialisation in Advanced Liver, Pancreas and Biliary surgery. I received my board certification in surgery in Australia after which I continued with further training the USA in Liver, Pancreas and Foregut Surgery and Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic and Endoscopic surgery.

Dr Osamu Yoshino is a General Surgeon with a subspecialty training in Hepatopancreato-biliary (HPB) surgery and robotic surgery.
Osamu graduated from Tohoku University, School of Medicine in Sendai, Japan. He completed his surgical residency with the Austin Health, Melbourne, Australia and obtained his fellowship in general surgery from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. After completing his HPB/transplant training in the US and Australia, Osamu completed a Robotic HPB fellowship at Carolinas Medical Centre, USA.
In addition to his robotic surgical skills, Osamu is focussed on ensuring his patients are well informed with simple language and understand the disease process and treatment options. Osamu is focusing on new robotic surgery in HPB surgery in Melbourne after he returned from his robotic HPB fellowship in North Carolina, U.S.A.
