I have been the practice manager for The LPB Surgery Group since 2020. My role includes overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring that everything runs smoothly for both patients and staff. My responsibilities include managing schedules, coordinating patient care and handling administrative tasks.

I have worked in the health industry for over 25 years, including 20 years at Austin Health. My roles have spanned a variety of departments and responsibilities, giving me the opportunity to develop the knowledge, experience, and the skills that I believe will greatly benefit Prof Nikfarjam, Dr Yoshino and Dr Furtado’s patients.

I have always been passionate about making a significant contribution to supporting the needs of people with health issues by helping them to access the treatment they require. My strong organisational skills and patient-focussed work ethic enable me to ensure that their journey is as smooth as possible.

The people I am working with are amongst the best in the country and I am so very proud to be part of this team. Outside of work my interests include spending time with my family and friends, going for walks and being active.

  • Dimity

    DimityMedical Transcriptionist

I have been a medical secretary/transcriptionist for around 30 years, mainly in Melbourne but also in Cape Town, South Africa, London, England and Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. My work allows me to delve into the intricacies of medicine without actually being a doctor or nurse.

I originally graduated from Melbourne University with a B.A. degree and taught typing and shorthand, English, Art, French and German in secondary schools for many years. I eventually abandoned this for the computer and have since only worked in hospitals and private practice, especially enjoying correcting doctors' English! My outside interests include writing, reading, travel, art, languages, gardens and animals.
